The Gift of Feeling Heard: An Invitation to Presence at Minot Mist

Calm sea with sailboats, grassy shoreline, distant houses, and a lighthouse under a blue, partly cloudy sky. Peaceful seaside setting.
Presence is the greatest gift we can offer one another

There’s a certain magic that happens when someone leans in, softens their gaze, and truly listens. You know the feeling — your shoulders drop, your breath deepens, and suddenly you feel lighter, as if the weight you’ve been carrying has been seen and shared.

At Minot Mist, we believe presence is the greatest gift we can offer one another. That’s why on October 8, 2025, we’re opening the doors for a special introductory session:

The Gift of Feeling Heard – An Introductory Lesson in The Language of Listening.

Why Listening Matters More Than Ever

We live in a noisy world — full of notifications, rushing schedules, and conversations that skim the surface. Too often, we’re half-present, waiting for our turn to speak rather than truly connecting.

But what if listening was the key to transforming not only our relationships, but also the way we lead, create, and love?

When we listen differently, we don’t just hear words.
We notice emotions, unspoken needs, and subtle cues that make people feel safe, valued, and lit up.

The 5 Pathways to Presence

During this introductory event, you’ll discover five simple acronyms — practical tools that you can use immediately in conversations at work, at home, and in your community. These “pathways” are designed to bring you back into presence and guide others into their own.

Here’s a glimpse:

HEAR – Learn to hold space and respond with care.

LISTEN – Go beyond the words into meaning and emotion.

QUIET – Discover the power of silence and reflection.

COACH – Ask questions that guide without judgment.

PRESENCE – Carry the art of being fully here, moment to moment.

Each pathway is simple, memorable, and powerful. Together, they form a practice that can transform the way you connect with others.

A Story from the Heart

I learned the power of listening more than 30 years ago. After taking a Dale Carnegie management course, I found myself at a holiday party where I decided to put these new skills to the test. I simply held space, asked a few curious questions, and listened.

The result amazed me. People opened up in ways I hadn’t expected. They left our conversations lighter, brighter — as if they had received a gift. That night changed my perspective forever.

Since then, I’ve taught these principles to hundreds of people, from sales agents who doubled their close rates to everyday individuals who wanted to build stronger, more meaningful relationships. But the real magic has always been the same: watching someone light up when they feel truly heard.

Why You’ll Want to Be There

This isn’t another lecture or list of tips. It’s an experience. You’ll feel what it’s like to be listened into your best self — and you’ll practice giving that gift to others.

By the end of this introductory lesson, you’ll:

Understand how to create instant connection

Experience the joy of listening without distraction

Learn practices that bring calm, clarity, and trust into conversations

Leave with tools you can use immediately in your daily life

At Minot Mist, we invite you to step away from the noise and step into presence. This event is your chance to explore the power of listening in a supportive, heart-centered space.
